Job Description Description About the Post: CITB NI is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a full-time Heritage Project Assistant to join their team on a fixed-term basis. The role will involve assisting in delivering the Future for Thatch heritage project, which aims to provide training opportunities for young people in thatching and engage with primary schools and community groups to explore local vernacular heritage. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Project administration including event administration, responding to project queries, arranging meetings, procurement of products/services, and correspondence with project participants. Event planning & delivery, social media support, and developing and supporting the delivery of workshops & trips for project participants. Researching & developing an exhibition and online StoryMaps, recording historic buildings through photography and video (training provided). Assisting in project evaluation and gathering of data through feedback forms. Person Specification: The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in built heritage and/or history, and be able to evidence this through previous volunteering experience, work experience, or previous study. Excellent communication skills, an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, and effectively manage time and prioritise workload are essential competencies. A degree level qualification in a field related to architecture and/or heritage is desirable, as well as experience of using social media in a work context, knowledge of research skills, and previous experience of working with young people and heritage projects.
