Overview
A Lunchtime Cover Supervisor is required for a Primary School in a lovely school in Birmingham, Great Barr. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, close-knit staff team. The school prides itself on its outstanding behaviour and hard-working staff.
The position will commence immediately and operate on a day-to-day basis with the potential of leading to a long-term role for the candidate. This is a part-time role covering the hours of 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Role details
You will work with primary students aged 3 to 11 years old, monitoring and supervising them during lunchtime. Your duties include helping students have a positive dining attitude, encouraging interaction and safe play during playtime, and ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and supervise students during lunchtime to ensure safety and well-being.
* Encourage positive dining attitudes and respectful behaviour.
* Encourage student interaction and exercise during playtime.
* Ensure health and safety of children at all times.
Qualifications and experience
* Six months of experience working within a UK school establishment is preferred.
* Experience in roles such as Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or other out-of-classroom roles is advantageous.
* Desire to work in a different environment and adapt to challenging settings.
* Patient, nurturing, committed and resilient.
