McCarthy Stone is the leading UK’s retirement living provider. We are looking for a House Manager to join our team at Beeches Gate in Aberdeen.
Beeches Gate consists of 44 stylish one and two-bedroom retirement properties, exclusive to those over 60.
Hours: 12 hours per week, working Thursday & Friday. We can be flexible around school hours.
Pay: £13.77 per hour

About The Role of a House Manager
We seek a customer-centric House Manager to exemplify the high-quality customer standards we are renowned for. The key role is to enhance our Homeowners' quality of life and support their independence. This diverse role involves high-level customer service, front of house duties, and facilities management. The successful candidate will build a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to update residents and address their priorities.
Some of the duties include:
* Welcoming new Homeowners and supporting their settling-in process.
* Providing professional front of house service and greeting visitors warmly.
* Being the first point of contact for Homeowners, offering help, support, and advice.
* Collaborating with partners and suppliers for smooth estate operations.
* Representing McCarthy Stone to families and friends of Homeowners.
* Handling issues with sensitivity, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
* Managing gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
* Facilitating social interactions and helping Homeowners enjoy retirement living.
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Key Competencies for the Successful Candidate
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
* Extensive experience in customer service roles.
* Professional approach with high standards.
* Ability to thrive in a busy, varied environment.
* Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
* Basic awareness of Health and Safety (training provided).
* Good computer literacy, including Word and Outlook.
* First aid qualifications are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
