RM Recruit are partnering with a Warwickshire based charity to recruit a Head of Finance for their team. This is a part time role for 15 hours per week.
Our client is an established, independent charity that supports grassroots organisations across the West Midlands and Warwickshire regions. They deliver bespoke grant programmes for community focused projects and organisations that benefit those in need. The Head of Finance reports to the CEO and leads on financial strategy, sustainability, and all aspects of financial management.
Your remit will include, but not be limited to:
* Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain the organisational financial strategy and medium-term financial planning.
* Provision of financial advice to the CEO and the Board of Trustees.
* Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team.
* Quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
* Act as the key point of contact for the auditors
* Development of annual and three-year budgeting processes
* Presentation of budgets and reports to the Finance and Risk Committee and Board with relevant analysis
* Undertake ranging cost analysis of all grant programmes
* Prepare investment accounts and maintain regular liaison with the organisations Investments team
* Advise on the management and performance of the Foundation’s investment portfolio.
* Producing accurate fund statements for donor funds for a variety of audiences
* Overseeing accurate and timely payment of grants and core expenditure, all within set internal processes and controls
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIPFA) and have experience on operating in a “number one” finance role. Team management acumen is key as well as the ability to communicate financial concerns to a wide variety of stakeholders. Charity sector experience is highly desirable and past responsibly for investment portfolio management would be an advantage.
