Role: Transport Planner - Irish Network
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (Negotiable)
Location: Redditch, West Midlands
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (08.00 - 17:00)
Summary:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising transportation routes to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
Key Duties:
* Plan, organise, and coordinate daily transport schedules and routes
* Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations
* Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues
* Optimise routing to improve efficiency and reduce costs
* Ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations
* Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and transport activities
* Provide regular updates to the operations team and management
Requirements:
* Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
* Previous experience in Irish planning in particular
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Knowledge of transport and logistics regulations
* Familiarity with route planning software and tracking systems (advantageous)
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and priorities
