The opportunity
The AI & Data practice works collaboratively with our clients to enhance their ability to solve complex business problems by exploiting data and analytics strategies and solutions. We provide expertise and delivery in the following core areas which all work closely together:
1. Data Architecture & Engineering – Focusing on next generation data solution architecture design and implementation
2. Data Management & Data Strategy – Supporting our clients with Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data and Analytics Target Operating Model Design and wider Data Office and CDO support functions
Your key responsibilities
3. Lead large and complex projects (Data transformation, Data Analytics, Data strategy) from strategy to execution.
4. Effectively leverage your knowledge and experience to support the delivery of key Data and AI projects, nurture valuable relationships both within EY and with clients, and develop strong capabilities through both formal training and working with senior mentors and talented colleagues.
5. Contribute to our Data and AI solution design and implementation expertise bringing expertise around cloud based data and analytics solution design and implementation combined with a deep understanding of sector domain, processes and data. You will be comfortable working with clients and other EY colleagues within Business consulting to support client engagements and develop thought leadership around data and technology.
6. Build and lead high performing teams, coaching, mentoring and serving as a role model for our people
7. Business development; including the development of long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients. You will lead RFP responses as well as thought leadership that we issue to the market.

To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following:
8. Previous FS experience in one or multiple sectors across: Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management, preferably Insurance
9. Advanced knowledge in at least one of our core capabilities of:
10. Data Architecture & Data Engineering
11. Advanced Analytics Cloud Architectures and Tooling
12. Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Governance and Data Quality
13. Demonstrable experience of complex data programmes
14. Expert level knowledge of the data requirements and design issues associated with the delivery of data projects
15. Developing and contributing to business development and go to market activities in the Data and Analytics space. You will lead RFP responses and thought leadership papers
16. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrable experience of building high performing teams and nurturing talent
17. Experience with one or more cloud data platforms
18. Previous experience in working on Insurance domain preferably Global Corporate and Specialty Insurance and London Market
19. Understanding of insurance business processes (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, etc.) and technology platforms, with particular focus on specialty insurance
20. Good understanding of insurance industry data models
21. Comprehensive understanding of the London Market business, including both Syndicate and Company Market operations
22. Capability to engage in discussions with C-suite executives regarding best practices for implementing intricate Specialty Insurance and London Market data platforms
23. Demonstratable interest and awareness in emerging technologies
24. Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at our clients
25. Ability to successfully deliver multiple engagements, exceed client expectations, manage commercial aspects ( contracts, billing and budgets), and manage quality and risk
26. Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and manage large cross functional projects
27. Intellectual strength / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into workable solutions which can then be delivered
