Job Overview
The current role is diverse and offers a great variety of work within the role. The role will include production coordination / warehouse management / driving / Installations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, coordinating activities between various departments, and facilitating the efficient use of resources. The ideal candidate will gain an insight into the entire business with the aim of high job satisfaction. You will have had previous expereince in organising a warehouse space, delivering goods and have an eye for detail. Full technical training to be provided but basic DIY skills are an advantage as the role does include some minor install work when delivering our furniture.
Responsibilities
* Assist Production Manager in the smooth running of the daily activities in the Upholstery and Cabinet Workshop.
* Weekly trip to our London Showroom and to assist in deliveries of our furniture nationwide.
* Check and maintain stock levels of all materials and sundries in the workshop.
* Assist QC checks on all finished goods and wrap and protect all goods prior to and during their journey to our clients.
* Manage and help maintain the working environment.
* Undertake general housekeeping tasks to ensure the craftsmen and women can perform their tasks most efficiently.
* Basic DIY skills, as full training provided.
* Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that materials and tools are stored properly and accessible.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production process.
Skills and Behaviours (essential)
* Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools.
* Calm under pressure.
* Demonstrate a positive and "can do" attitude.
* Ability to see blockages and problems ahead of them occuring to ensure action taken to avoid.
* Initiative and ability to plan, as well as good common sense.
* Professional and Diligent.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
* Capable of lifting heavy items and carrying out manual work.
* Clean Drivers Licence.
* Experience of Forklift use, training provided.
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Education to BTEC or similar qualification
