The Role
We are currently recruiting a General Manager for Lake View Lodge. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the home's daily operations, fostering a caring environment that provides residents with high-quality, personalized care, respecting their individual needs, dignity, privacy, independence, and choices.
The General Manager will supervise, monitor, and evaluate the care provided, ensuring compliance with legal standards and maintaining the highest care quality within the home.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the daily operations of the home, including care standards, recruitment, training, communication, premises, and finances.
2. Assess residents' needs, involve relevant agencies and relatives, and develop personalized care plans.
3. Provide high-level personal care, following care plans and ensuring respectful, warm, and supportive contact.
4. Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
5. Administer medication as prescribed, maintain accurate records, and manage medication stock effectively.
6. Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
7. Recruit suitable staff, conduct inductions, identify training needs, and lead team meetings.
8. Organize staffing, manage rotas, and oversee team absence.
9. Control and monitor the home's budget and expenditure, prepare financial reports.
10. Support residents' personal financial arrangements, maintaining confidentiality.
11. Market and promote the home, handle prospective resident inquiries, and conduct tours.
12. Assess new residents, negotiate fees, and ensure proper documentation and arrangements.
13. Manage budgets and accounts, understand sales and marketing principles.
14. Recruit, select, and retain staff, and promote staff training and development.
15. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and the Health & Social Care Act.
16. Demonstrate leadership, enthusiasm, motivation, and professionalism.
17. Maintain a caring, reliable, and punctual demeanor.
18. Understand local authority requirements and experience with regulatory bodies.
19. Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS).

Hours of Work
The role is from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility as needed, totaling 40 hours per week.
