We are looking for a part-time Administration Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join Orchard Park High School and become an integral member of the Administration team. Orchard Park High School is a warm, happy and high achieving secondary school, located in Shirley, Croydon. Under the guidance of the Office Manager, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective support to the school in relation to finance and administration.

Orchard Park High School is a part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust. A highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive, non-selective and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Our schools are based in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth. We also have three shared service hubs with remote / hybrid working opportunities where appropriate. We are building a family of like-minded schools, that collaborate to provide mutual support, share their good practice and learn from each other, whilst retaining and developing their own distinctive character. Main responsibilities:

* Process all income received via the school's online payment system
* Organise all payments due relating to student accounts
* Liaise with trip organisers to ensure that payments are received on time
* Ensure that pupil premium discounts are applied and transferred where necessary
* Deal with enquiries and queries from parents/carers
* Manage funds collected for charity
* Providing information to and supporting parents logging on to the MCAS app for canteen payments.
* Checking all eligible FSM students are registered for MCAS.
* Ensuring FSM vouchers are received by parents.
* Provide support to budget holders with orders and budgets, approving orders and ensure that the ordering process is managed in accordance with the finance policy
* Obtain best prices for purchases
* Work collaboratively with GLT Shared Finance Team to responding to queries relating to income and expenditure

You will need:

* Good standard of education, preferably to NVQ level 3 together with high degree of accuracy and good numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to prioritise and manage workflow whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests in a fast paced environment.
