As a Residential Children's Care Worker, you will be part of a specialist team in our children's residential home, providing consistent, nurturing, and structured care. You will help create a safe and supportive environment where children and young people can thrive, develop essential life skills, and build brighter futures. Key Responsibilities for Residential Children's Care Worker: * Build trusting, positive relationships with children and young people based on mutual respect and clear boundaries. * Support with daily routines, including waking, mealtimes, school runs, and bedtime. * Promote the emotional well-being, self-esteem, and resilience of each child. * Assist with personal care where necessary, always ensuring dignity and respect. * Support children in attending school, appointments, and engaging in hobbies or recreational activities. * Act as a positive role model, promoting appropriate behavior and social skills. * Manage challenging behavior in a calm, therapeutic, and trauma-informed manner. * Follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures at all times. * Maintain accurate records, contribute to care reviews, and communicate effectively with the wider team and external professionals. * Participate in household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and creating a homely environment.
