Role Overview – Costing Engineer
We're working with a global engineering leader to recruit a Costings Engineer for their New Product Introduction (NPI) team in Tewkesbury. This is a key commercial role that plays a vital part in securing profitable business, supporting new product launches, and maintaining accurate cost and pricing structures.
As part of an organisation recognised worldwide for its polymer engineering expertise, you'll work closely with colleagues across commercial, engineering, and production functions to support customer quotations, manage price lists, and ensure that new product data is accurately introduced into the business.

Key Responsibilities – Costing Engineer
Prepare, update, and manage customer quotations via email and internal C4C systems.
Create and maintain pricing tools, including price lists and calculators.
Analyse accounts to identify profitable and unprofitable business, recommending adjustments where required.
Support the creation of new Bills of Materials for NPI projects.
Assist with raising, managing, and processing new tooling orders.
Contribute to NPI project work, ensuring new products are introduced accurately and efficiently.
Maintain accurate cost, pricing, and product data within ERP systems.
Key Experience & Qualifications – Costing Engineer
Experience in a similar commercial, costings, or customer-focused role within manufacturing or engineering.
Comfortable working across both office and production environments.
Technical understanding or manufacturing knowledge is beneficial.
Strong IT capability, with solid skills in Microsoft Office—especially Excel.
Previous experience with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support commercially driven decisions.
Clear communication skills with the confidence to present information to senior stakeholders.
Self-motivated, proactive, and well-organised, with excellent attention to detail.
Actively identifying opportunities to improve costs, processes, and quality.
