We are seeking a dynamic and committed Consultant Dermatologist to join our team and help deliver high-quality patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to work within a supportive environment that values compassion, innovation, and collaboration.
You will play a key role in the delivery and development of the Dermatology service across Lincolnshire.
Main duties of the job
* The appointee is expected, in conjunction with his/her Consultant colleagues, to provide a comprehensive dermatology service to the hospitals within Lincolnshire, working across the different sites for the organisation as required.
* To provide departmental cover for dermatology by coordinating leave with colleagues.
* To teach medical students, junior doctors, nursing staff and General Practitioners. To take an active part in the Postgraduate Medical Education programme.
* To have continuing responsibility for the patients in his/her charge and for the proper functioning of the Department.
* To attend the Dermatology Team meetings and actively contribute to the management and development of the clinical service, and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care.
* Meet Royal College of Physicians standards and British Association of Dermatologist in continuing medical education.
* Participate in local mandatory training, annual medical appraisal and revalidation.
* To take part in the Team, Department, Trust, District, Regional and National Audit programmes.
* To provide professional supervision and management of nursing and medical staff.
* To be involved in research where appropriate.
* Undertake such other duties as may be identified to meet the needs of the service.

Qualifications & Clinical Skills
Essential
* Current valid GMC registration with licence to practice
* MRCP(UK) or equivalent medical experience
* Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via one of the following: a) Certificate of Completion of Training (The proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) b) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) c) European Community Rights
Desirable
* Higher degree e.g. Masters degree, MD or PhD

* Special area of interest and expertise within Dermatology including skin surgery
