Role Overview
We're looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our founder's personal social media team. Please note that this is a part-time hours per week) contractor role.
This role is perfectly suited to a creative individual who enjoys everything about the world of social media and content creation. You might have a thriving social media presence of your own, or have worked with a brand/founder on growing their social media accounts before.
Day-to-day, you'll be working with the founder on growing her social media presence to enhance Unearth PR's visibility. This will include social concept ideating, video editing, carousel creation, alongside supporting with writing captions and posting content.
Although it is beneficial, no prior professional social media experience is needed. We're happy to interview self-taught content creators who have been building their own social media presence or portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Working directly with Unearth PR's founder you will be responsible for:
* Supporting in executing the founder's social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
* Ideating new social concepts on a weekly basis.
* Scriptwriting for video posts.
* Regular editing of social content, including short-form video and image carousel posts.
* Writing for captions and in-post text.
* Supporting with the scheduling and upload process across various platforms.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Possess an in-depth understanding of short-form video platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts.
* Is on top of trending video styles and marketing moments within the industry.
* Has experience personally or professionally with video editing using tools like CapCut, Instagram Edits, and TikTok Studio.
* Has excellent written communication skills, as writing is a key part of this role.
* Is not afraid to ask questions and use their unique voice to contribute new ideas.
* Is organised with strong time management skills, as you'll be trusted to manage your own schedule and work to deadlines.
