A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a committed and personable Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026.
The Role
You will work closely with pastoral staff, Heads of Year and the safeguarding team to:
* Monitor daily attendance and punctuality
* Make first-day calls and follow up unexplained absences
* Produce attendance reports for SLT and governors
* Meet with students and families to support improved attendance
* Work with external agencies where persistent absence is a concern
* Contribute to whole-school attendance strategies and interventions
