THE ROLE
This is a brand-new role focused on our international business, that blends fast-growth commercial performance, brand sensitivity and a rapid test & learn approach.
You’ll drive the expansion and optimisation of our Shopify-powered e-commerce experiences across key international markets — building journeys that feel intuitive, enriching, and distinctly Ancient + Brave.
From strategic trading to customer experience, you’ll partner across functions taking the best of what we’ve learned from scaling the UK business to drive international sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer and working in close collaboration with the Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for the following:
+ Manage the optimisation of international Shopify storefronts — ensuring each market (currently US, Germany, Spain) is localised and brand-aligned.
+ Translate global strategy into market-specific action across pricing, content, merchandising, and promotions.
+ Collaborate with digital marketing, operations, CX (Customer Experience), and brand teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
+ Drive international subscription growth and retention — evolving how our rituals fit into people’s daily lives.
+ Monitor and report on key KPIs (key performance indicators) including AOV(Average Order Value), CVR (Conversion Rate), CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) and LTV(Lifetime Value), using insights to fuel intelligent growth.
+ Collaborate on customer journey development, feeding into global CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) activities that drive performance gains across all sales and marketing channels.
+ Stay ahead of regional regulations, tax, and logistics nuances to ensure operational excellence globally.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Experience within a high-growth, DTC (Direct to Consumer) environment, ideally within wellness, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
+ Deep knowledge of Shopify, with experience managing international stores or region-specific domains.
+ Demonstrated success driving growth in international markets, ideally within Europe (including Germany and Spain) and the US
+ Fluency in using digital tools to drive insight.
+ Commercial sharpness paired with brand empathy. The ability to balance performance with integrity.
+ A love of fast-paced environments, but with a calm, clear, and thoughtful approach.
+ Bonus: experience working with subscription models and increasing customer LTV.
Further, to truly thrive at Ancient + Brave you will need to embody the spirit of our brand and align with our company culture. You will be:
+ Hungry: Ambitious, driven with a growth mindset, always seeking ways to learn, develop and be better.
+ Humble: No ego, collaborative team player, always acts with integrity and clear sense of accountability, aligned with our B-Corp values
+ High Performing - Effective. Efficient, with a solid work ethic. Always operates with self-awareness that enables them to consistently push for exceptional results—while maintaining resilience, balance, and self-care.
+ Hustle: Entrepreneurial. Innovative, fast-paced, great communicator. Always adept at solving problems and navigating dynamic, ever-changing situations.
