Are you passionate about delivering high-quality digital services that make a real difference to communities? Rochdale Borough Council is seeking a Systems Manager to join our dynamic Applications Team within the ICT Department on a job share basis.
In this critical role, you will help support, develop, and maintain a range of line-of-business applications that underpin essential council services. You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain core business applications across the council.
* Collaborate with service areas to understand requirements and deliver tailored digital solutions.
* Lead on system upgrades, integrations, and performance improvements.
* Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and ICT policies.
* Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders.
About you

* Proven experience in managing enterprise applications in a complex organisation.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to service delivery.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Knowledge of local government systems and processes is desirable.
