We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our site-based team in Cumbria. This role is critical to the delivery of commissioning activities on a high-profile nuclear project and will involve planning, executing, and documenting commissioning phases.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity requires an experienced Commissioning Engineer with proven experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Witnessing and verifying vendor test activities at works test stage
* Preparing and developing plant commissioning test specifications
* Conducting early inspections of site installations to support system handovers
* Leading testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase
* Identifying and resolving faults; implementing appropriate corrective actions
* Organising and coordinating Commissioning Technicians and support staff
* Initiating and implementing Field Observation Reports (FOBs)
* Validating and verifying Working Level Instructions (WLIs)
* Applying and removing Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs)
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* A strong background in nuclear commissioning and testing procedures
* Proven experience with nuclear CE&I systems commissioning
* A minimum HNC/HND in an engineering-related subject
