The Senior Business Partner is required to work with their assigned BU Head(s)/Channel Director(s) to support the implementation of their business strategy through providing financial advice, analysis and insight into the business performance.

1. Act as a trusted business partner to support the relevant BU/Channel to improve their financial performance
2. Ensure correct financial treatment and booking of the revenues and costs for the relevant business area. Drive continuous improvements in the month-end process to achieve a timely submission
3. Produce accurate and timely reporting and commentary to enable the relevant BU Head(s)/Channel Director(s) to understand the current business performance
4. Participate in monthly European reviews providing analysis and commentary on results and variances, produce necessary material for these meetings.
5. Co-ordinate the preparation of the bi-annual budget and monthly Sales forecasts for the relevant business area(s)
6. Propose actions to improve the profitability of the relevant business area and monitor the progress
7. Produce scenario analysis and modelling to enable the business to make the right decisions
8. Ensure compliance with Canon accounting policies, support audit process and continuous development of SOX controls
9. Deputise for BU Controller when required
What we ask
10. Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA) – 1 to 3 years post qualified.
11. Advanced Excel modelling skills
12. Experience using different IT systems e.g. Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase would be beneficial
13. Previous experience of working in a Commercial Finance / business partnering role and with evidence of success
