Role: Employment Law Solicitor (Part time)
Location: Harborne
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (pro rata), DOE
(£57,000 - £63,000 FTE)
We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join an award winning, well-established and growing legal practice in Birmingham. This is an opportunity for a confident and capable solicitor to provide high-quality employment law advice, working independently and taking full responsibility for their own caseload.
The successful candidate will be trusted to advise clients directly, progress matters efficiently, and deliver an excellent standard of client care.
The Role:
Office-based or hybrid working arrangements will be considered.
Hours - 25 hours per week
Working pattern open to discussion
Availability on Wednesdays is essential
Some afternoon availability is preferredKey Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality employment law advice and representation to clients, including:
Contentious employment matters
Advising on and drafting settlement agreements
Drafting contracts of employment, policies and related documentation
Manage your own caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, on time and within budget
Comply with firm procedures and standards, including:
File and case management
Time recording
File audits and due diligence requirements
Provide an excellent level of client service, including:
Keeping clients informed of progress
Managing expectations clearly and professionally
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Work collaboratively as part of the wider team, sharing knowledge, best practice and supporting colleagues where required
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all professional obligations and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
Take responsibility for ongoing professional development
Contribute to the growth and development of the firm, including participation in:
