We currently have three opportunities for Housing Officers to join the team within Homeless Prevention. One vacancy is Temporary until 31st May 2027 and two vacancies are Permanent. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will carry out the local authority’s statutory duties to prevent and relieve homelessness. This will require a full assessment of a households’ housing and support needs including the completion of a Plan (personal housing plan). The primary purpose of the role is to work with households and partner agencies to prevent homelessness. You should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and have experience of working within a housing, homelessness or support related service. You should have knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and have experience of providing support to vulnerable people. Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria. If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
