Salary: MPS - UPS - £32,916 - £51,048 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a fixed term position working 0.66 FTE, 39 weeks per year until 31st August 2027 (Monday to Friday 8.20-12.20)

Wilcombe is a vibrant, busy school, with a warm and welcoming staff who strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils. We are actively seeking to recruit a teacher with the vision, energy and resilience to support pupils with a variety of need in overcoming their barriers to learning.

We are looking for 0.66 teacher to lead or SEND Hub for children in years 1 - 3. This provision has been in place for over 4 years and is well-established, with the support of our school SENDCo. It caters for pupils with significant cognition and learning difficulties. every morning, whilst providing them with access to a rich curriculum within a mainstream setting. You will be working with a small class of approximately 8 children, delivering English and Maths teaching to them daily, alongside other interventions and provisions as outlined in individual children's EHCPs.

About the Role

As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards. The successful candidate will initially work in key stage 1 (although there is scope to consider applicants with a preference to work in key stage 2)

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
* Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting
* Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
* Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
* Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
* Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives
* Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.

Essential attributes include:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT
* Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
* Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning
* Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community

Desirable attributes include:

* Experience leading a curriculum area
* Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
* Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
* Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities
