Manage and oversee all Maintenance Engineering projects and personnel for the plant, including capital improvements, major equipment modifications, and installations. Take overall responsibility for the plant, infrastructure, equipment maintenance, and reliability, as well as facilities and grounds maintenance.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead a safety-first culture by implementing safety and compliance programs such as confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, arc flash, contractor safety, roof access, and hot work.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to develop site strategies aimed at improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
* Participate actively as a member of the Site Management Leadership Team.
* Develop and execute the maintenance strategy, including:
o Reducing unscheduled downtime caused by mechanical outages
o Implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs
o Managing capital budgets, including project development, planning, approval, resourcing, and timely execution
o Collaborating with Production and Process Engineering teams to enhance machinery quality and efficiency
* Develop PFMEA strategies to identify critical risk areas and create capital plans to mitigate outage risks.
* Manage maintenance expenses and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
* Oversee maintenance engineering, automation, electrical, and instrumentation efforts.
* Contribute to the Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE), supporting company-wide improvement strategies and knowledge sharing.
* Implement and track CMMS activities, including inventory management and procurement.
* Provide leadership and guidance to employees, including setting objectives, performance standards, and conducting performance reviews.
* Handle employee relations, discipline, interviews, training, and compensation recommendations.
JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years in supervisory/leadership roles within manufacturing maintenance, with experience in web handling and tension control systems.
* Strong planning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
* Proven success in project budgeting, planning, and implementation.
* Experience in implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
* Solid understanding of industrial/facilities maintenance, including pneumatic and electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and PLC programming.
* Ability to foster collaborative relationships and lead teams effectively.
* Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for extended periods.
* Availability to support 24/7 operations, including nights and weekends.
