We currently have a post available in our busy and constantly evolving Outpatients Department and looking for enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse.
The departments within outpatients offer a full range of outpatient care to the patients of the Western Eye Hospital. The Western provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist ophthalmic facilities and is equipped with some of the most advanced diagnostic and technical equipment currently available.
The Western Eye Hospital forms part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in the heart of Paddington, an area that is set to become one of the capitals most attractive and vibrant centres.
In this role, you will providing the best possible nursing care to patients with a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work in all the outpatient departments and there is scope to work in the other areas of the Hospital. You will develop skills in many of the diagnostic tests that our patients require.
To join us in providing our patients with the best possible experience and care, you must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
You will be given all the support and training you need to develop the skills needed to look after our patients.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide high quality, effective, specialised and individualised care to all patients
2. To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision
3. To ensure, at all times, that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery
4. To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area as requested within the Trust.
