Permanent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a leading accountancy practice based in Aberdeen City Centre. This opportunity would suit someone with previous practice experience, looking to broaden their exposure across a varied client base in a supportive and collaborate environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Preparing financial statements for a range of clients and owner managed businesses, ensuring compliance with various accounting requirements.
* Preparing management accounts for a range of clients on a monthly and quarterly basis.
* Carrying out reviews of charity financial statements and preparing charity accounts ensuring SORP compliance.
* Working closely with colleagues across departments such as tax and payroll to deliver accurate and efficient client services.
* Developing strong client relationships by providing clear, confident responses to queries and escalating issues when necessary.
* Contributing towards the wider team by supporting a range of ad-hoc tasks and project work.
Applicants to this role require:
* Proven experience within a professional accountancy practice.
* ICAS/ACCA part qualified/qualified by experience highly advantageous.
* Demonstrable strong numerical ability with sharp analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Proven client-focused approach, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in accounting ERP systems.
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks whilst adhering to deadlines.
