We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Services Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Events Manager and collaborating with the Events Production Co-Ordinator and F&B Services Manager, you will help deliver seamless event experiences through hands-on setup, concierge services, car park management, and ensuring meeting, conferencing and exhibition facilities are prepared to the highest standards. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent customer service, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Event Setup and Operations: Assist in setting up and breakdown of events spaces, including staging, lighting, sound equipment, and seating as per all External and Internal requirements; ensure areas are clean, organized, and prepared before guest arrival; prepare meeting rooms to the highest standard with correct furniture, equipment and materials; restock and organize meeting room supplies; conduct final quality checks; attend weekly function sheet/Ops meetings; attend morning kitchen briefing; ensure storage areas are secure and housekeeping is maintained; commit to Fire Warden duties; maintain fabric of meeting rooms (e.g., paint touch-ups).
* Audio-Visual Setup and Support: Setup, test, and operate AV equipment (microphones, projectors, speakers, video conferencing systems, lighting, staging); ensure AV equipment functions before and during events; provide technical support to presenters; troubleshoot minor issues; coordinate with the Events Production Co-Ordinator for seamless AV integration.
* Concierge Services: Welcome and assist guests, provide directions and information; handle inquiries and special requests professionally; coordinate with event organisers, Events Production Co-Ordinator and F&B Services Manager to enhance guest experience; manage VIP arrivals and provide dedicated support as needed.
* Food & Beverage: Assist the F&B Services Manager in setting up and clearing F&B stations; keep service points stocked, cleaned and presented; provide basic service assistance and support during high-demand periods.
* Car Park Management: Direct vehicles to designated parking areas and manage barriers for entry; assist guests with parking, EV charging and accessibility inquiries; work with the Operations & Services Manager to ensure safety and orderliness; position road signage and flags to direct delegates and remove signage before weekends.

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* First Aid
* IOSH Working Safely Certificate
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
* Allergen Awareness Certificate
* Clean, Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
* Experience in event setup, AV operations, hospitality, customer services, or facilities management is advantageous
* Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy equipment
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* Experience in events, hospitality, or facilities management
* Experience in concierge services or guest relations
* Knowledge of AV equipment and basic troubleshooting
* Experience in car park management
* Customer service training or VIP guest handling experience
* IPAF Licence to safely operate MEWPs
