Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Prepare high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
* Manage food inventory, ensuring freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise food production efficiency.
* Engage with guests when necessary to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
* Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating and guiding staff.
* Previous experience in menu development and culinary creativity is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests.
