Position: Material Handler - Boxing Room Operative
Location: Cramlington
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Hourly Rate: £12.65
Working Pattern: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Pack finished products accurately into cartons, boxes, or containers in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Verify product counts, batch numbers, and labels for utmost accuracy.
Apply labels, seals, and necessary documentation correctly.
Conduct inspections on products and packaging materials for any defects or damage.
Keep the boxing/packaging area clean and organised.
Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance requirements (e.g., GMP, OSHA, EHS).
Record production data, counts, and discrepancies as required.
Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and warehouse teams.
Assist with palletizing and preparing shipments for transport.
Promptly report equipment issues, product defects, or process deviations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred.
Forklift training/licence is a plus!
Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.
Basic math and documentation skills are essential.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (typically up to 40-50 lbs).
Work Environment:
You will work in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
PPE (gloves, gowns, safety shoes, etc.) may be required.
The role involves standing, repetitive motions, and manual handling.
