We are seeking a Trust Administrator to join our growing Private Capital team.
About the role
This role represents an exceptional opportunity to join our Private Capital team handling a broad range of high-quality work covering all aspects of non-contentious Private Client law, including wills and estate administration, wealth management, trust administration for high value clients. The role also encompasses working closely with our Contentious Trusts and Probate and Tax teams and advising major banks and insurance providers across the UK.

About you
The Trust Administrator role at DWF's Tax and Private Capital department, based in Manchester, is a crucial position supporting the Private Capital Team in various aspects of trust administration. The primary responsibilities include the meticulous preparation of trust accounts, income tax returns, and the management of general trust administration tasks, fostering effective communication with trustees and beneficiaries.
This role also entails active engagement with HMRC, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of trust tax compliance procedures. Addressing periodic events within trusts, such as ten-year anniversary charges, exit charges, and the death of a life tenant, is a significant component. There is also potential involvement in preparing trust accounts, trust income and capital gains tax during the administration phase.
In addition to these duties, the Trust Administrator is responsible for managing Trust Registration Service (TRS) updates, registering new trusts, and providing crucial assistance to the Private Capital team in navigating trust compliance under FATCA, CRS, and TRS. Analytical skills for data manipulation, organizational proficiency, and the ability to build strong client relationships are key attributes sought in an ideal candidate.
This role will be a hybrid position with a minimum of 50% of time to be spent in the office and can be based in any of DWF's regional offices (Manchester or Liverpool).
