Job Title: Quality Control Operative
* Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Operative to join our team at the Camden Group’s Steeple Road site. This is a key role within our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct end-of-line quality checks in line with QC Standard Operating Procedures
* Identify, document, and report quality issues throughout the manufacturing process
* Support production teams in recognising defects and implementing corrective actions
* Work collaboratively to reduce remakes across all factories
* Communicate effectively with the Quality Manager, Production Managers, and Supervisors
* Ensure all quality control tasks are completed daily and any issues are cleared promptly
* Provide daily reports outlining quality concerns and trends
* Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaintsCarry out manual handling duties, including occasional heavy lifting of window and door components
Essential Criteria
* Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
* Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionSelf-motivated, proactive, and target-driven approach
* Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required
* Physically capable of manual handling, including intermittent heavy lifting
* Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing
