Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, you play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our products through meticulous inspection and adherence to quality standards. Your primary responsibilities include conducting final product inspections, documenting non-conformances, assisting with investigations to determine root causes, and conducting product and process audits to uphold quality standards. Additionally, you serve as a proactive Quality Champion, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting the overall quality system. Your contributions directly impact the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers.

* Conducting Final Product Inspection: Assist and advise production regarding the acceptability of finished products for shipment. Perform 100% inspection of final products if required by the customer to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Documenting Non-Conformances: Document rejected products using Quality Events in Trackwise, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of non-conformances for further investigation and corrective action.
* Support Quality Engineers in investigations to determine root causes of non-conformances and collaborate on the creation of corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
* Conducting Product & Process Audits: Carry out audits in each manufacturing department according to schedule, identifying deviations from quality standards and raising non-conformances as necessary to maintain product quality.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify potential areas for improvement in processes, procedures, or products, contributing to ongoing efforts to enhance quality and efficiency.
* Quality Champion: Take a proactive approach to promote adherence to the quality system and address shop floor inquiries, serving as a knowledgeable resource for quality-related matters.
* Calibration: Ensure measuring equipment is kept in a known state of calibration.
* Other Duties: Undertake any additional responsibilities deemed appropriate by the organization to support quality management processes and contribute to the overall success of the team.


What You’ll Be Doing

Additional day-to-day responsibilities include supporting quality processes on the shop floor and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives as a Quality Inspector.


Who You’ll Be Working With

* Internal Stakeholders: You will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders across departments, including Quality Assurance, Production, Internal and External Sales, and Purchasing, to ensure alignment of quality processes and standards across the organization.
* External Stakeholders: You will engage with suppliers and auditors regarding supplier performance, quality audits, and adherence to contractual agreements; building and maintaining positive relationships to uphold quality standards.


Skills/Experience

* Attention to Detail: ability to meticulously inspect products and accurately document non-conformances to uphold quality standards.
* Analytical Skills: ability to assist Quality Engineers in investigations, identify root causes of issues, and contribute to corrective action plans.
* Communication Skills: effective communication to advise production on product acceptability, raise non-conformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proactivity: proactive approach to identify potential areas for improvement and serve as a Quality Champion.
* Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements to perform audits and address shop-floor inquiries.
* Team Collaboration: ability to collaborate with production teams, Quality Engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve quality objectives.
* Continuous Learning: willingness to learn and stay updated on quality standards and practices.
* Flexibility Regarding Shifts: openness to working various shifts.
* Strong Time Management & Organisational Skills: ability to manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
