The Role:
We are seeking energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic people who can commit to being available to work shifts within our residential boarding houses. Our children and young people enjoy being supported by a team of adults who bring with them unique hobbies and interests and an enabling approach which encourages and supports then while away from their homes. You will form relationships with both staff and children and will become an integral part of the residential service as a whole.

As a Bank worker you will receive the same training and development opportunities as all residential staff and the same benefits as listed. You will develop a professional understanding of the team around every child and be part of this in ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
Ideally you can predict your availability in advance of each half term in order that you and the children have predictability.
Residential staff undertake shifts during term times, sleep in duties and weekend work. Extra payment is made for sleeping-in duties and overtime.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To be a stable and safe adult and a role model of excellent behaviour
* To work within a structured routine and provide predictability to the children and young people.
* To lead and participate in activities after school, in the evening and at weekends, promoting social communication and interaction on the school site and in the community.
* Have an open, fun and mature approach to life
* To provide care and support for pupils with assistance and mobility, communication and social interaction
* To liaise, in conjunction with the staff team, with the school SENDCO, Learning Support Assistants, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to identify and support the writing of personal care plans and procedures.
* To oversee the physical and emotional care of the pupils, including but not limited to, consideration of pupil's health, diet, clothing, hygiene, safety, and emotional welfare.
