Job summary
This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
To be responsible for providing professional, efficient, accurate and prompt administrative support to CAMHS and the North Wales Head of Child Psychology and Psychological Therapies.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To receive and respond to telephone enquiries from patients, families, other agencies and Health Board Staff in a professional, helpful and sensitive manner, answer queries within own area of responsibility or refer to the appropriate department.
Communicate with GPs; other Health Services and Social Services; Hospitals, Independent and Voluntary Sector, patients and relatives. Dealing with enquiries without the need for direction in a large proportion of queries.
Handle emotional and stressful telephone calls, e-mails and correspondence that may sometimes be of an abusive nature; report and seek assistance when necessary.
Take responsibility to prioritise work suitably and efficiently and in accordance with the requirements of the service and team.
Be able to work on own initiative to ensure the efficient administrative service delivery to CAMHS.
The post holder will ensure that systems and procedures for recording and filing information are suitable for the purpose and make efficient use of resources.
Ensure that accurate and relevant information is readily accessible in the required format to authorised people only.
The post holder will ensure that all case-notes, their content and other records are tracked to the relevant person, and returned to file as quickly as possible in a tidy condition.
Ensure that the departmental and Health Records are created and maintained in accordance with Health Board Policy.
