Job Title: Teacher Assistant - Llandeilo Location: Carmarthenshire, Carmarthenshire, Llandeilo Job Type: Fulltime & Parttime positions available Secondary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £83.85 - £85 Per day Job Duties: Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons Support students during classroom activities and provide individual attention when needed Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment Supervise students during breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies Prepare teaching materials and resources as instructed Provide feedback on student progress to the teacher Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising classroom materials Collaborate with the teacher and other staff members to support student development Required Qualifications: GCSE qualification or equivalent Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willing to apply for one. Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to apply for one. Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Prior experience working in an educational setting is desirable Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively as part of a team Excellent organisational and time management skills Proficiency in using basic computer applications and educational software Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Working Conditions: The Teacher Assistant will primarily work in a classroom setting, supporting the teacher and students during school hours. The role may involve occasional supervision of students during breaks and off-site activities. The position is temporary and requires full-time availability.
