Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pharmacist Acute and General Practice based at Arran Medical Practice, Lamlash and Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine.
What you will do:
You will use and develop your clinical expertise (including independent prescribing where applicable), working with a cohort of patients as part of a multidisciplinary practice team and community hospital team. Part of the role will also include ensuring quality and cost-effective prescribing within GP practices to meet NHS Ayrshire & Arrans efficiency savings. This post requires clinical expertise, good communication, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to work with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will have relevant post-registration experience of pharmacy practice, sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills. You will have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. Ideally you will be an independent prescriber or be willing to work towards this.
