We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join the school's supportive and dynamic team. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping students overcome barriers to learning, manage their emotions, and build confidence and resilience. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support for students, focusing on emotional well-being, behaviour, and engagement. Work closely with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to implement support plans tailored to individual needs. Respond to behaviour incidents in a calm and restorative manner, promoting a positive and respectful school culture. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes. Support the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils, adhering to school and national policies. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working in a school or youth support setting, particularly with vulnerable or high-needs students. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people. A calm, patient, and non-judgemental approach, even in challenging situations.
