Night Veterinary Surgeon – Bolton | Salary: £50,000–£70,000 per annum (DOE)
We are currently working with a respected veterinary group in Bolton to recruit a dedicated and experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon. This opportunity offers a competitive base salary of £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a veterinary professional looking to gain exposure to a higher volume of clinical cases, including emergencies. Due to the practice’s low-cost pricing structure, financial limitations are rarely a barrier to case work-up, allowing for thorough and high-quality veterinary care.
With an in-house out-of-hours service, you will benefit from continuity of patient care—something not often available in similar roles. This is a supportive environment that values clinical excellence and the ability to make a meaningful impact.
Key Information
The caseload is typically weighted towards more complex and urgent cases, rather than preventative care.
Due to the organisation’s business model, a high throughput of cases is necessary to ensure operational sustainability.
Mental health and wellbeing are taken seriously, with regular reviews of internal practices to support team welfare.
Employees have access to a comprehensive assistance programme, including 24/7 online GP services and specialised mental health support.
About You
You will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with experience or a strong interest in emergency and critical care. You should be confident working autonomously during night shifts, while also being part of a wider supportive clinical team.
If you are looking for a role that offers professional development, the chance to handle a diverse caseload, and a rewarding working environment, please get in touch to learn more or apply directly to be considered.
