Job Overview
This role requires the ability to structure and prioritise workloads, maintain data accuracy, and deliver reports under pressure. Experience with access‑control or database administration is advantageous.
Key Duties
* Handle public queries and provide effective communication to staff at all levels.
* Process permit applications, allocations and alterations for Off‑Peak and Peak permits.
* Monitor circulation of permits and maintain eligibility requests.
* Prepare appeal information for the Appeals Panel and support NBT Application rejection Appeals.
* Manage Cash Payer records, contact arrears, and handle cancellation of collisions related to personnel changes.
* Generate requested reports from PermIT and support reconciliation activities with Finance/Payroll and the Head of Security Travel and Parking.
* Maintain resident permits and liaise with the Residence Department.
* Support complementary parking (Volunteer & Mobility) and Occupational Health data handling.
* Identify and report audit irregularities, investigate causes, and follow up with NBT.
* Carry out any other reasonable management requests.
Qualifications & Experience
* SIA License, or willing to work towards one.
* Minimum 2 years of security experience and experience dealing with the public.
* Computer literate – proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and database management.
* Experience in the Security Industry or Occupational Health is an advantage.
* Valid UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with sound judgement and integrity.
* Strong written and verbal communication; good standard of English and Maths.
Education / Training
* SIA Licence – Essential
* NVQ Level 2 Customer Service (or equivalent) – Essential
* GCSE or higher in English Language – Essential
* CCTV Licence – Desirable
Work Experience
* Minimum 2 years security experience – Essential
* Experience dealing with public and working for a large organisation – Essential
* Police or military experience – Desirable
