About the Role
Join our client’s team in Basingstoke as a dedicated and compassionate female domiciliary care worker. This role involves delivering high-quality personal care and support to clients in their homes. Applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.
Main Duties
* Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support with toileting needs and continence management.
* Administer prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
* Report any changes in health to a supervisor or healthcare professional.
* Help clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment.
* Accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
* Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
* Ensure the home environment is safe and comfortable.
* Provide companionship and engage in conversation to alleviate loneliness.
* Support clients’ mental and emotional well-being through active listening and encouragement.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition.
* Complete daily logs and report to the supervisor as required.
* Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Attend regular training sessions and stay updated with best practices in care.
Qualifications
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Must have experience in domiciliary care within the UK.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
* 3-year Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
