About Our Client
Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision scientific instruments.
Job Description
* Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
* Collaborating with Procurement and Stores teams to ensure materials availability for planned builds.
* Monitoring capacity, lead times, and work orders, adjusting plans to optimise output and reduce bottlenecks.
* Supporting new product introductions (NPIs) and coordinating build readiness with cross-functional teams.
* Analysing data and providing reporting on production performance, schedule adherence, and inventory levels.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
* Working with ERP/MRP systems to manage and maintain planning data and work orders.
The Successful Applicant
* Experience in a production planning, materials planning, or scheduling role within manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, ideally in a low-volume, high-precision or engineering environment.
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, engineering, and sales).
* A background in electronics, mechanical, or scientific manufacturing would be advantageous.
