Due to ongoing projects, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join the Partner Finance team and work closely with the Divisional Finance Director. This is an excellent career development opportunity, and over time the successful candidate should expect to take on a broader leadership role, either in the division or the wider group. As well as having the opportunity to focus on improving controls and processes, the FC will also play an important role in the professional development of team members. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Partner Finance team, across all areas of financial reporting and FP&A Implement and develop high quality processes, controls and systems which enable efficient, timely and accurate production of high quality financial reporting Contribute to ensuring integrity and accuracy of weekly and monthly reporting to the Partner Finance Management Team, budget holders and other stakeholders in the wider BCA Group Ownership and accountability for balance sheet integrity and reconciliations Develop internal relationships with relevant teams colleagues to further develop business knowledge and also share/promote best practice ideas across the business Proactively identify opportunities to support business growth, and undertake and/or lead ad hoc projects Maintain and improve financial reporting procedures ensuring documentation of risk and necessary contingency plans Liaise with the Group Team, and external auditors in co ordination of statutory, tax, and related matters Full involvement in current banking syndications arrangements, including monthly reconciliations and routine banking audits Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Qualified Accountant, ideally gained in a Big 4 or direct from industry Adaptable, determined and enthusiastic for new challenges Strong technical skills and an understanding of processes & controls in an Audit and/or divisional finance environment A willingness to devise, implement and improving financial and operational processes Experience of managing and developing teams would be advantageous Well-organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Excellent interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills Good influencer with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels Enthusiastic team player, with a desire to be involved in a variety of activities, and a willingness to take ownership and a hands on approach Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.
