Electrical Technician / Panel Wirer position based in Leicestershire. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 with OTE £45,000 - £50,000 including paid overtime. Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm (early finish 12.30 Friday). Benefits apply.
About the Role
Our client has been a staple within the area for over 40 years, designing and manufacturing bespoke automation solutions across numerous industries on a global scale. In an engineer-heavy environment, the company focuses on improving manufacturing efficiencies, reducing labour costs and supporting new technology. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician/Panel Wirer to join a 20-strong shopfloor team with half permanent staff. With a full order book and a strong industry reputation, this role focuses on installation and panel wiring of machinery primarily on the shopfloor, with some work at client sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with a design specification to wire up the machinery
* Wiring components; sensors, motors, etc.
* Panel wiring
* Connecting into terminals onsite
* Bonding checks
* Maintaining records in the build file
* Ensuring all electrical systems are neat, tidy and presentable to a client
* Collaborating with Mechanical Engineers to advise on any wiring/assembly issues or redesigns that may be required
Preferred Skills & Experience
* A significant background within Panel Wiring
* Experience with high-quality electrical building and wiring
* A collaborative and self-motivated mentality
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced/high-pressure environment
