As a Trainee Payroll Administrator, you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things - for ourselves, for the built environment around us, and for a truly sustainable future. The Role: Work alongside and support the wider Payroll team with their day-to-day payroll related queries and administrative duties. Learn both legislation, contractual and procedures relevant to the payroll discipline, to ensure successful and accurate weekly and monthly payroll processing, processed within required timeframes and to the highest standards. DUTIES: Learn to Input new starts to both payroll system, allocating the correct tax code per legislative guidance, interpreting employee contracts to allocate correct rates etc. Input changes to employee details, for things such as Name, address and bank detail changes ensuing accuracy for data integrity. Input changes to employee salaries and allowances as per details submitted by HR. Calculate backdated and pro rata payments for starters, leavers and mid period changes, ensuring accuracy. Input of sickness to payroll, to allow calculation of SSP and OSP Production and distribution of P45’s Answer both general and technical payroll queries to the business as well as individuals and escalate where necessary. Continually monitor processes, put forward suggestions for improvement Process weekly timesheets in accordance with employee terms and conditions Reconciliation of input to ensure accuracy. Upload and publish of employee payslips to epay. Assist with the Epay access for new starts and leavers as well as password resets. Assist the management of the payroll mailbox.
