We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team at the Supported Living service. We have a variety of contracted posts within Wakefield and the surrounding areas.
Due to the nature of the role, support workers are required to have a flexible approach to cover duty rota as necessary. A typical rota includes early shifts, late shifts, and you must be willing to work evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, and sleep-in shifts. Enhancements are paid on top of the basic salary, and additional hours/overtime may also be available beyond the contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting people with a learning disability in their own homes and enabling them to live as independently as possible.
* Working as part of a team or independently in various community settings.
* Encouraging tenants to undertake daily living skills, including cooking and household tasks.
* Providing practical, personal, and emotional support, including intimate personal care.
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent is desirable (not essential).
* Willingness to achieve NVQ Level 3 in Care.
* Previous experience in care, both work and personal experience, is relevant.
* A can-do attitude with the ability to work well in a team.
