Material Handler As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving processed material around the workshop and yard areas. The role will involve manual handling, as well as using equipment to load trailers. You will be responsible for ensuring that all appropriate processes are followed and records complete. Rate of pay - £22.50 per hour (13 Weeks probationary period CIS / Umbrella) Shifts - Friday to Sunday, 07:00 – 17:30 You will be required to completed 3 weeks initial training with the day shift (39 hrs Monday – Thursday 7am -5pm) Main Duties and Responsibilities * Move material to specific area’s following work instructions and instructions from supervisors. * Ensure all electronic records and paperwork are completed and accurate for traceability. * Carry out workshop activities in accordance with issued work instructions * Loading vehicles and laydown area’s * Prepare fabricated materials to be sent for galvanising and/or despatch * Ensure loads are checked before dispatch to ensure items are packed and secured and match paperwork * Maintain high levels of housekeeping in all areas. * Carry out manual activities within physical and technical capabilities * Carry out pre-use checks when required, i.e. before using forklifts.
