Control Systems Project Engineer
A well-established control systems engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking aControl Systems Project Engineerto support continued growth. This role suits engineers with a strong grounding in automation and control systems, who value precision, accountability, and end-to-end project ownership.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering control and automation projects from concept through to commissioning, working across multiple industrial sectors and collaborating with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead automation and control projects from initial concept through design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning
2. Design and engineer motor control and automated systems
3. Produce Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and associated technical documentation
4. Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for medium to large-scale projects
5. Specify and design hardware solutions compliant with relevant standards (UKCA, CE, UL)
* Electrical schematics
* Control panel enclosure layouts
* Backplate layouts
6. Design, program, configure, and test PLC and HMI systems
