Operational Underwriting Assistant
Starting Salary: £25,100
Locations: Leeds or Manchester
This role is suitable for individuals early in their insurance career or transitioning into underwriting from related fields such as claims advising, broker support, or insurance administration. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, data-savvy, collaborative, and either newly qualified in insurance or eager to deepen their knowledge of property insurance.
About the job:
You will join our Corporate Property team within Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). Your responsibilities include supporting underwriters with renewals and new business, delivering excellent service to brokers and clients, and contributing to team strategy and growth. Collaboration is highly valued, and you will be a key team player.
Skills and experience required:
1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
2. Proficiency in IT systems
3. Effective time and resource management
4. Awareness of property insurance
5. Ability to build positive relationships with brokers and clients
