As our Business Manager, you willbe responsible for the overall management of the practice, ensuring thedelivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality services. Working closely withthe GP Partners and the leadership team. Your role will span strategic planning,finance, compliance, HR, and stakeholder engagement.


Main duties of the job

Providestrategic leadership and support to the GP Partners.

Overseebusiness and financial management including budgets, payroll, income streams(QOF, PCN, enhanced services), and cost control.

Liaise withaccountants, signs off invoices and purchases.

Lead on CQCcompliance, information governance, clinical governance, and contractualobligations.

Oversee HRfunctions: recruitment, induction, appraisals, and staff development.

Ensureefficient use of practice IT and digital systems (eg SystmOne/Accurx andtelephony services)

Leads digitalinnovation, AI tool integration and IT strategy.

Overseeinformation governance, GDPR, cybersecurity plans.

Lead on changemanagement and business development initiatives eg digital transformation, newincome streams

Represent thepractice in PCN, ICB, wider NHS forums. Liaison with suppliers and external HRcompany.

Person Specification


Experience

* Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience with SystmOne and NHS digital systems.
* Business or management qualification.
* Understanding of CQC and NHS regulatory frameworks.


Qualifications

* The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience in senior management, ideally within primary care or NHS settings.
* Strong financial and HR management experience.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* The ability to work autonomously and drive innovation.
* Up-to-date knowledge of NHS primary care regulations and challenges.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
