I’m working with an exceptional boutique commercial firm in Newcastle who are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Solicitor—someone with around six years or more PQE. This is a cracking role for a lawyer who wants high-quality work but in a small, friendly team where you’re genuinely valued, not just another number in a big machine.
The work here is a really nice mix—commercial contracts of all kinds, some IP and IT matters, and data protection work too. So, plenty of variety to keep things interesting. They act for a great range of clients as well—owner-managed businesses, growing start-ups, as well as some bigger names—so you get a real spread of industries and issues to get stuck into.
Ideally, you’ll have solid experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and be confident advising on things like software agreements, SaaS, IP rights and data protection. But above all, they want someone who can give proper, commercial advice—practical and straight-talking, not textbook theory.
