We are recruiting for a Project Manager - Main Site Infrastructure supporting the Sizewell C Project. In this role you will ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule. You will ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
Responsibilities
* Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to other elements of the programme.
* Assist in securing the required resources to meet project requirements, ensuring maintenance of SQEP for any assigned resource.
* Develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP).
* Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and execute the project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work.
* Deliver contract or package activities safely, on time, to budget, and meeting business and technical requirements.
* Anticipate, manage and resolve issues within the contract or package.
* Identify risks, facilitate issue resolution, update the programme budget, and escalate issues to the Delivery Manager (Programme Manager or Director).
* Review Contractor supplied Level 3 and 16 week rolling schedules.
* Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) relating to the scope of work is delivered.
* Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and Continuous Improvement principles.
* Interface with other programmes to maintain a high-level view of total project progress and adopt best practices.
* Ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled.
What you’ll need
* Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics or related field.
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Knowledge and/or practice of Project Management with experience of applying APM body of knowledge and/or OGC Prince 2.
* Track record delivering technically complex projects with emphasis on safety, security and environmental responsibility in regulated environments.
* Experience engaging groups of stakeholders.
* Strong management skills including project, financial, change management and facilitation. Proficient in estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools.
* Experience managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on large, complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
* Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills with excellent communication and organisational abilities.
