We are seeking a self-motivated Communications and Engagement Development Manager to work across Hampshire and Isle of Wight as part of the Sexual Health and HIV Service. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of communications, campaigns, and promotional strategies, including digital front door services and patient engagement activities. Working within the Community Sexual Health Promotion team, this diverse role contributes to engaging patients and stakeholders, supporting innovation, and improving public health outcomes in key populations. The role also provides communications support to The Treetops Centre, Sexual Assault Referral Centre, and involves operational management of functions such as resource distribution and event coordination. This maternity cover position is until March 2026, part-time (30 hours/week), with flexible hours and location. Responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing service-wide communication strategies, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.
2. Contributing to health promotion campaigns using digital, out-of-home, radio, and media channels.
3. Developing and improving the letstalkaboutit.nhs.uk website based on analytics and evidence.
4. Supporting communication strategies to engage target populations via social media.
5. Building communication pathways with key stakeholders.
6. Managing the contacts database and recommending improvements.
7. Planning and producing health promotion campaigns and activities.
8. Managing condom scheme operations.
9. Coordinating patient engagement and consultation activities.
10. Updating and maintaining website content.
11. Handling media activities.
